Aloe Vera
So The Roxy Soap will share with you all from basic to pro about Aloe Vera. :)How to grow your own Aloe Vera?
All Aloes are semi tropical succulent plants, and may only be grown outdoors in areas where there is no chance of freezing.
However, they make excellent house plants when they are given sufficient light. Container grown Aloe plants benefit from spending their summer outdoors. Older specimens may even bloom, producing a tall stock covered with bright colored coral flowers.
Water and Soil
There are over 250 species of Aloes in the world and 95% of the plant are water, they are frost tender. The soil should be moderately fertile and fast draining, but water should be provided. I will suggest my friends in Malaysia who wan to plant Aloe Vera. Mix soil with some sand and small rock in the pot. after filling the pot with 60% of the mixture of the soil, place your small Aloe Vera n the center of the pot, and continue filling up the soil with the mixture of the soil to 85% full. Remember fill up the root area only not included the leave of the Aloe Vera. DO NOT fill it 100% full. Last stage is filling the balance 15% with sand to 100%.
The reason why you need to do this is the Aloe Vera leave cannot soak in water, it is said that Malaysia has a rainy day all time, so if the soil in the pot are wet and contact with the Aloe Vera leave, it will rotten the leave. The sandy surface of the Aloe Vera are keeping the surface of the leave dry.
Sunlight and Water The Plant
Unless you are live in a place that mild climate, full sunlight or shade light is perfectly for this plant, for friends live in Malaysia, you can choose an are beside your house or near to windows if you are staying in a condo, the Aloe Vera should have a few hour of sunlight everyday, no worry, it can take direct sunlight. In this case of direct sunlight daily, water should be provide every 2 days. If the 2-3 hour sunlight or shade light, then you should water it every 3-4 days.
Differentiate Mature Aloe Vera and Ripe Aloe Vera
How to differentiate the full grown Aloe Vera and a immature one? Simple, If you see the white dot on the leave, mean this is not a mature plant, if the white dot on the leave disappear, mean this is a ripe Aloe Vera.
Depends how you wan to use it, if you plan to eat it raw as a fiber supplements, you better choose the ripe and mature leave. If there is a cut on the skin or burn, ripe or immature plant also can be use.

Medical Value
Stomach or Digest
The Aloe Vera juice consumption and relief of digestive issues such as heartburn and irritable bowel syndrome.
For people bad at digest, they can use Aloe Vera juice as supplement. But please take note that when you prepare the juice, DO NOT SCRATCH inner green area of the leave. The green area will make your Diaria.
It soothes the digestive tract, and I wouldn't be surprised if someday it is discovered that Aloe Vera prevents and reverses colon cancer and other cancers of the digestive tract.
Skin Burn and Sun Burn
This is one of the most powerful healing substances available from nature in terms of first aid treatment. It is extremely low cost, it is well proven over thousands of years of use, and it is simply good medicine. It's more powerful in terms of stopping burns and healing wounds than anything else known to modern medicine, despite all our technology. This one simple, humble little plant does more than all the medical researchers combined in terms of providing effective first aid for burns.
It's rather astounding -- by simply extracting this so-called drag reducing polymer, or DRP, from the aloe vera plant and then administering it to patients, you can save their lives. In the military, medics could carry very small quantities of this Aloe Vera compound and administer it to soldiers who are suffering from extreme blood loss, thereby saving their lives.
How many lives could be saved? In laboratory tests on rats, the survival rate went up from 50% to 80% for those rats who were experiencing severe blood loss. This is a huge increase in the potential survival rate of human beings if they respond to this aloe vera compound in a similar way. It is very exciting news for medical technology, and also for natural health and those who are supporting the use of healing substances from nature in order to enhance modern medicine.
